El Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer (IAM) forma a través de la Asociación de Mujeres Politólogas a 60 mujeres para impulsar la creación de Consejos Municipales de Igualdad en diversos municipios de la provincia de Granada

Impulsar la creación de Consejos Municipales de Igualdad. Este es el fin último que el Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer y la Asociación de Mujeres Politólogas han perseguido al desarrollar un curso de formación dirigido a 60 mujeres de los municipios del Valle de Lecrín, Algarinejo, Íllora, Alomartes, Escóznar, entre otros, que les ha permitido sentar las bases teóricas para la creación de estos órganos locales.

La Delegación de Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía en Granada sido el lugar en el que se ha clausurado el proyecto “Nosotras Participamos, Nosotras Decidimos: Consejos Municipales de Igualdad”. Éste ha contado con la financiación del Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer, que ha destinado cerca de 18.000 euros a un proyecto dirigido por la Asociación Mujeres Politólogas y ha contado con la participación de la Federación de Asociaciones de Mujeres del Valle de Lecrín, la Asociación Cultural de Mujeres de Algarinejo, la Asociación Paso a Futuro de Tocón, la Asociación Indiaka de Íllora, la Asociación Nuevas Ideas de Escóznar y la Asociación Agua Buena de Alomartes.

Consejos Municipales de Igualdad

Dichos consejos van a suponer un importante instrumento de participación y se van a configurar como órgano asesor de los respectivos ayuntamientos, velando porque la perspectiva de género aparezca transversalmente en todas las políticas y actuaciones que impulsen y pongan en marchas los gobiernos locales.

El proyecto fue clausuraron Carmen Solera Albero, coordinadora provincial del IAM en Granada, y Ana María Cañadas Correa, vicepresidenta de la Asociación Mujeres Politólogas, tratándose de la segunda parte del curso formativo desarrollado en 2007. Por ello, en la convocatoria de este año, igualmente han participado las asociaciones de la primera edición, pero en esta ocasión recibiendo asesoramiento técnico para la puesta en marcha de los Consejos Municipales de Igualdad en sus municipios.
