El Grupo de Desarrollo Vega Sierra Elvira apoya la construcción de un complejo turístico en el embalse de Cubillas

El Consejo Territorial del Grupo de Desarrollo Rural de la Vega Sierra Elvira (Promovega) ha subvencionado los primeros cinco proyectos a emprendedores rurales dentro del Plan de Actuación Global “Lidera” 2009-2011 del Programa Andaluz para la Sostenibilidad del Medio Rural con vigencia hasta 2015 y que está cofinanciado entre el Gobierno andaluz y la Unión Europea a través de los fondos FEADER. La dotación financiera total para el periodo 2009-2015 es de 516 millones de euros.

Uno de los proyectos más significativos que ha apoyado el Grupo de Desarrollo es la construcción de un complejo turístico y de ocio en el embalse del Cubillas.

En el caso de la Vega Sierra Elvira, este Grupo destinará hasta 2011 un total de 3.328.000 € a proyectos destinados a la creación de empleo, mejora de las infraestructuras y de la calidad de vida del territorio. A partir de 2012 y hasta final de marco se realizará una nueva asignación de fondos públicos. El objetivo del Programa es continuar mejorando la calidad de vida de las zonas rurales, fomentar el empleo con especial incidencia en mujeres y jóvenes y asentar la población a los territorios rurales.

En total, el Consejo Territorial de Promovega (órgano en el que están representados todos los actores públicos y privados del territorio) ha aprobado subvencionar cinco proyectos que suman una inversión cercana al millón de euros, de los cuales se han subvencionado 371.808, 68 € a cargo del fondo FEADER y de la Consejería de Agricultura y Pesca de la Junta de Andalucía.

Proyecto más destacados

Los proyectos promovidos por empresas de la zona, han incidido en la ampliación y modernizan su actividad en el ámbito de la manipulación y envasado de frutas (Cortijo Cuevas, S.L); la modernización del emblemático Restaurante La Pulga de Santa Fe y la creación de un Complejo de Ocio y Turismo en el Embalse del Cubillas, generando un valor añadido al territorio y a la economía y la creación de 25 puestos de trabajo, y el mantenimiento de otros 66 empleos.

El presidente del Grupo de Desarrollo Rural, Juan de Dios Jiménez Aguilera ha animado a los emprendedores de la zona a solicitar las ayudas, consiguiendo el dinamismo y cooperación necesaria entre las entidades privadas, motores del desarrollo económico y la administración Pública a través del Grupo de Desarrollo.
