Finaliza la reforma del consultorio médico de El Turro, en Cacín

Los trabajos de rehabilitación y reforma del consultorio médico de la localidad granadina de El Turro, anejo del municipio de Cacín, ha permitido eliminar las barreras arquitectónicas existentes en las anteriores instalaciones dotándolas de una total accesibilidad acorde a las necesidades de las personas con movilidad reducida.

Igualmente, se ha ganado tanto en superficie útil, 85 metros cuadrados totales, como en la comodidad de sus instalaciones. Además, se ha renovado la totalidad del mobiliario tanto clínico como estándar y se ha dotado al centro de climatización.

Los trabajos realizados vienen a mejorar las prestaciones sanitarias de la población de El Turro, que según datos del censo poblacional asciende a cerca de 140 personas. Los habitantes de Cacín, incluidos los de El Turro ascienden a 685 personas.

El consultorio de El Turro, cuyo horario es de 12.00 a 15.00 horas, se integra en la Unidad de Gestión Clínica de Salud de Alhama de Granada y en él desarrollan su labor a diario un médico de familia y un enfermero.

La delegada de Salud de la Junta de Andalucía en Granada, Elvira Ramón, ha visitado hoy, junto al alcalde de Cacín, José Fernández, el nuevo consultorio médico para conocer sus instalaciones, situadas en un edificio de propiedad municipal, ubicado en la calle Cementerio s/n.

El presupuesto para la construcción del centro sanitario ha ascendido a cerca de 43.000 euros, de los cuales, la Consejería de Salud, a través del Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS), ha realizado una inversión de más del 50 por ciento en la que se incluye los 12.000 euros destinados a equipamiento. El resto, alrededor de 21.000 euros, se ha derivado del Plan de Fomento de Empleo en Andalucía, enmarcado en el convenio firmado con la Diputación Provincial de Granada para la gestión de este programa.

El médico de familia del municipio de Cacín y El Turro atiende una media anual cercana a las 5.500 consultas y otras 55 a domicilio. La actividad de enfermería en el centro es de 2.446 consultas a las que hay que sumar más de 2.600 que se llevan a cabo a domicilio.
